Brett is an award-winning musical theater composer, lyricist, and librettist. He has written four musicals to date, one of which is a collaboration with playwright Bill C. Davis (Mass Appeal, Avow) for which he wrote the music. Brett is currently a member of the Advanced Class of the Tony Award Winning BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theater Workshop in NYC, as well as a member of the Dramatists Guild. His musical Foreverman ran at the New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) in July 2012 where it received an award for Outstanding Orchestrations and the New World Stages Development Award. Most recently, Brett was the co-conceiver of From Broadway With Love: A Benefit Concert for Sandy Hook, produced by Tony-Award-Winning Producer Van Dean. Stephen Schwartz, Marc Shaiman, and Frank Wildhorn performed along with some of Broadway's best, including Brian Stokes Mitchell, Christine Ebersole, Mary Testa, Linda Eder, and many more!
