The snow kept me from being a part of the last Tune in Time (see below!) so I will be making up for that tonight!  7:30PM at the  York Theatre Company!

January 28, 2015

I will be joining the York Theatre Company for “Tune in Time” on Monday, Feb. 2 @7:30PM - a musical theatre gameshow where 3 pairs of composers/lyricists are paired with someone they’ve never worked with, and must create a song in 20 minutes based on suggestions from the audience and a spin of the “genre wheel.”  Why did I agree to this??

Ok, so it's been a while since the last update.  Here is some information about a benefit concert I conceived with Broadway Producer Van Dean for the families of Sandy Hook (where I live and went to school).

From B-Way with Love

The concert will be held at the Palace Theatre in Waterbury, CT, on January 28th, 2013 at 7PM.  Among the performers are Brian Stokes Mitchell, Christine Ebersole, Mickey Dolenz, Steven Schwartz, Linda Eder, Frank Wildhorn, and more!  The concert will feature a 42-piece Broadway orchestra conducted by Jeff Saver (End of the Rainbow) and the production will be overseen by director Michael Unger.  For tickets (or to make a donation), visit www.frombroadwaywithlove.org.  All proceeds go to United Way of Western Connecticut's Sandy Hook School Support Fund.

May 6, 2012 -

We just had a full day of EPAs (Equity Principal Auditions) on Thursday, and are in the process of piecing our cast together.  We lost our lovely Fiona (Janine DiVita) to Broadway's Anything Goes, and wish her much success!  Though we'll miss her!

Stay tuned for more cast updates.  We should have something real soon.  Also, we're doing a table read coming up, tentatively Mother's Day Evening May 13th.  For those who aren't familiar with the term, this is when we get actors in a room, sitting around a table, and we read through the script.  Basically, it serves as a way to hear the dialogue and the structure of the show to determine what changes need to be made before we head into rehearsals in June!

Please visit the Official Foreverman Website at www.forevermanthemusical.com.  And PLEASE DONATE to the show at www.nymf.org/donatetoforeverman.  We need to raise almost $85,000.  Every little bit helps, and we spend it AS IT COMES IN.  So please help secure the future of this promising new musical!

March 8, 2012 -

So after careful deliberation, the FOREVERMAN reading that was scheduled for April 2 has been canceled.  With all the stress of producing the show for NYMF, a reading just wasn't going to make sense.  So stay tuned for more updates about the July NYMF production!

Also, tomorrow (Friday March 9) the logo and poster begin their developmental process.  Darren Wagner is designing; you're going to LOVE what he comes up with!

Dec. 1, 2011 -

Foreverman will have a staged reading on April 2, 2012!  The room has been booked at the Players Club in Gramercy Park, and I'm looking forward to starting the process of getting a terrific cast together.  We are going to get this show up and running!  Check back for more updates!

Also, my newly completed novel "The Eye of the Storm" will be available after the new year on iBooks and Kindle, so be on the lookout for that.  I will let you all know when it becomes available.

Check back soon!

Nov. 7, 2011 - Here's an update:

Austin's Bridge goes up for a reading tomorrow the 8th at Brooklyn College.

I am now a presenting member in the Advanced Writer's Lab at the New Opera and Musical Theater Initiative in Boston.  It's a great program that meets once a month for members to present material from current projects for feedback by the group.

I just completed a novel…if anyone reads epic fantasy, you'll like this one!  It's the first book in a trilogy called The Five Districts.  Let me know if you want an e-copy and I can email it.

That's it for now.  Check back soon!

Sept. 21, 2011 - So here's the latest news:

Austin's Bridge will receive a staged reading at Brooklyn College in November, followed by two subsequent readings/workshops early next year, also at Brooklyn College.

Also, I am now a member of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theater Workshop!  Looks like it's going to be a great couple of years.  It's awesome to be in a room full of creative people…kind of like musical theater heaven.  Hopefully I'll be able to post some of the things we're working on as the year progresses.  So stay tuned!
